The Middle
Tennessee Chapter’s year runs from September through June. In addition to our
annual fraud conference in March, we offer several opportunities to earn
National Association of State Board of Accountancy (NASBA) approved
continuing professional education (CPE) credit. For the
upcoming year, we will host five luncheon meetings, each with one recommended
hour of CPE credit. We think that the luncheons are a tremendous value. ·
Chapter
members who register before the deadline (usually the close of business on
the Friday preceding the meeting) receive one hour of CPE plus a meal for only $10. ·
First-time guests are invited to attend for free, subject
to the reservation deadline. ·
The
cost for returning non-members with timely reservations is $15. ·
Late registrations (when available) and
persons with reservations who do not attend and do not cancel their
reservation will be charged $20, which is essentially the full cost of the
meal. This year’s lunch meetings will be at Scarritt Bennett. Google® Map. Please be alert that some meetings may not be in the usual room, which is the Raintree Room. Meeting room information will be posted on the schedule below. Campus Map. We will
cosponsor a sixth meeting with one hour of recommended CPE with the Nashville Chapter of the Association of Government
Accountants (AGA). In January we
will sponsor a one-day fraud seminar. We will post the details as they are
finalized. We invite our
members to socialize and network at social events in December and June.
Members are encouraged to invite a guest for the end-of-year June Social at
which we recognize the year’s achievements, award scholarships, and install a
new board of directors. The schedule is
subject to change. We will update this page as needed and will make announcements
on our news feed. 2011-2012 Luncheon, Seminar, and Social Schedule
