I am Lauren Winfree Reed, Certified Fraud Examiner since 2010. I am driven by a fervent dedication to apprehending fraudsters and creating defenses to prevent recurring losses. It's about discerning every facet to construct the narrative, understanding that each investigation presents unique challenges. Throughout my career, I've collaborated with esteemed law enforcement agencies such as the TBI, FBI, and Secret Service. My expertise spans diverse fraud types, from theft and insurance fraud to impersonation and credit card schemes. Currently, I lead a dynamic team specializing in scrutinizing credit applications for businesses, adept at identifying various forms of fraud such as first-party, third-party, and synthetic schemes. In my current leadership role, I not only investigate fraud but also spearhead strategies and process enhancements to streamline our fraud detection matrices and policies, ultimately reducing bad debt and minimizing risk. My unwavering passion lies in eradicating fraud, and I find fulfillment in collaborating with fellow fraud prevention professionals to pursue this mission relentlessly. Let's continue striving towards a fraud-free future, one investigation, or one puzzle, at a time.
